**Sad Story and Photos Below**
Bottle feeding kittens is a though job. Its hit-and-miss. Sometimes they do great……Sometimes they just aren’t strong enough. This litter of kittens was born a little premature. It was their young mother’s 3rd litter and she rejected them in the beginning. So….I brought them home with me.

This is my favorite picture of Timmy. You can see how tiny they really were.

Jak was their surrogate daddy
. He’s so funny. He loves to let the tiny ones cuddle up with him. He’s such a good foster dad.

I debated on whether or not I should name these kittens. But I decided they deserved names…..if they made it or not. They all did great the first couple days. Bottle feeding 4 kittens by myself all at once is alot of work, so I slowly started introducing them back to mom to see if she would accept them. And to my suprise….she did! I was excited because it would be so much better for the kittens for the mom to raise them.

She cared for them for a couple days, but then something went way wrong. I don’t know if she knew something was wrong with them, or if she was just a bad mother. I got to work on a Sunday and she had killed Joe. The other 3 were cold, dehydrated and bruised. I took them home and tried to warm them up, give them fluids and tube feed them.

Unfortunately, one-by-one, they all died. I felt really bad. I wonder if I had just kept bottle feeding them instead of putting them back with mom if they’d still be alive.
RIP itty-bittys.
