Around this time last year, a client brought their cat in. She was in labor and had already had one dead kitten. The cat needed a c-section. The owners decided that they just wanted the kitten euthanized. We talked them into signing the kitten over and letting me take her home if she was alive when she was born. She was. She was absolutely tiny.
Jak immediately wanted to take care of the little one 🙂
I put her little carrier on my bed, right by my head so I could hear her cry at night. I was skeptical about her making it. But she made it through the first night, then the second night and before I knew it it had been a week. That first week of her life I got up every 2 hours throughout the night to feed here. We named this special little girl Chance.
After the first week went by another came, then before I knew it she was three weeks old. This is about the time she started to develop her personality…..a personality full of attitude and cuteness!
Oliver did his best to keep her in check.
The weeks passed and Chance continued, to eat, grow and thrive. Soon she was weaned from the bottle and she transitioned to solid food like a champ.
Chance was adopted by a loving family when she was 6 weeks old and although I was sad to see her go, I was so happy she made it.
Chance’s name is now Maggie and she’s all grown up 🙂
